I'm Coming Home

After much hesitation and a lot of heavy thinking, I've finally made a decision about MSF.
I'm coming back, my loves!

More to follow! Stay tuned!

Stay or Go?

My Stylish Friends,

Skirt-Harper and Grey; Jacket-TJ Maxx;
Boots-Steve Madden; Bag-Thrifted
It's been too long since we've chatted. That's mostly my fault. The crazy thing about starting a blog is that when your life changes, you have to figure out ways to keep yourself interested and focused on it. No one tells you that.

I started MSF when I was taking an unplanned break from college. It was a great outlet and it allowed me to  shop without guilt and style without worry. It was perfect. However, a college degree, a photography business and a hosts of other commitments later, I'm not so sure where MSF fits into my life anymore. I tried to get interns to help keep posts coming (that didn't work out for multiple reasons) and I've tried to force myself to post (obviously that didn't work either).

So, what do I do? Do I let it go or do I figure out a way to switch things up and morph My Stylish Friends into a blog that fits into my life now? I'm not sure.

I won't make any promises, but I will keep you updated.
Thanks for reading MSF these last few years.

My Style: Forget Me Not

It has certainly been a while since I've posted  here. Forgive me. Life has been crazy. I'm working a few jobs (the joy of your 20s) and trying to get my photography business off the ground. No worries, I'm doing it all in style. However, I'm ready to get back to MSF. I miss sharing my great finds and uber stylish friends with you all. So, I'll be posting at least three days a week. Please hold me to this. Email me, text me if you have my number and even send a few pigeons my way. I love this blog and hate when I have to neglect it.

Enough of that. My outfit yesterday was super comfy, which was a necessity for all that I had to do. From church to taking family portraits, I was ALL OVER. Yet, this simple dress and boots combo keep me warm and looking quite pulled together. What more could you ask for in an outfit?

xoxo,
Whitney

My Style: Coming of Age

I woke up today and was like WOW. In two short days, I'll be 25. I cannot believe it. I remember so vividly being about 12 years old. So, you can imagine what waking up and realizing you'e going to be 25 feels like. Yet, I'm not sad. I'm actually really excited. I've committed to making the latter half of my twenties absolutely spectacular. I want to try new things, visit new places and build on the amazing relationships that I have in my life. I even want to expand my blog and all of the other aspects of my professional life. I'm truly excited for 25 and I feel like I'm coming into my own. What a relief! :-)

My Style: God & Music

You know, if I could sing every day I totally would. Unfortunately, music (nor blogging) doesn't pay the bills yet. But I love doing it so much that if I never get paid, I'd keep doing it. That's passion, they say.

Today, my church had a huge musical celebration where we musicians were honored. How sweet, right? I was totally grateful. We had to wear special colors and I was super amped when orange was thrown into the mix. I bought this orange blazer earlier in the summer, but didn't really have anywhere to wear it --I have this problem all too often. Church is the biggest event we small town folk have. I'm ok with that, however.

My Style: Quick

Today has been totally hectic, but I didn't want to forget these photos from the weekend. I found these pants in the thrift store last week and totally squealed. It was definitely love at first sight. They are my first pair of printed pants and I couldn't wait to style them. I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for, but I think I'll live with this until I do. You'll definitely see more of these babies.

What I'm wearing: Top-WalMart; Pants-Thrifted; Shoes-Gifted; Belt-Van Heusen; Jewelry-Thrifted
