My Style: God & Music

You know, if I could sing every day I totally would. Unfortunately, music (nor blogging) doesn't pay the bills yet. But I love doing it so much that if I never get paid, I'd keep doing it. That's passion, they say. 

Today, my church had a huge musical celebration where we musicians were honored. How sweet, right? I was totally grateful. We had to wear special colors and I was super amped when orange was thrown into the mix. I bought this orange blazer earlier in the summer, but didn't really have anywhere to wear it --I have this problem all too often. Church is the biggest event we small town folk have. I'm ok with that, however.

My Style: Fusion of Cultures

A girl at my church said of this outfit, "You look like a Spanish Indian!" I was utterly confused. She explained, "Your skirt is real Spanish, but those earrings and shirt remind me of India." I hadn't intentionally fused these two cultures, but hey it worked! I totally love this skirt, by the way. I snagged it at TJ Maxx a few weeks ago for $20. I think I deserve to be on one of those Maxxinista commercials. I'm definitely one of those. Definitely.  

Anyway, you'll probably get angry with the amount of long skirts and dresses you'll see on here over the next couple of months. I just fell in love with maxi dresses, so it'll be kind of like that jean jacket phase. Forgive me, already.
