Anything You Can Do
I was just going through a few of my favorite fashion sites and found this lovely editorial from Elle Russia that made my little heart sing!
Now, for those who don't know, I'm a diehard fan of mixing men's clothing with uber feminine pieces. It's the ultimate sexy look to me. So this menswear inspired editorial featuring looks from Gucci and Ferragamo was just what I needed to inspire me today.

My Stylish Friend: Chelsea*
I didn't make it to church Sunday, but my sister-in-law sent me a picture that she said I'd love. And I did! Chelsea, who we featured here on the blog about a month or so ago, had on the cutest faux fur jacket.
Here's Chelsea looking fab again! She's such a cool 16 year old young lady!

Snow, Sneezing, Smiles
I'm a little under the weather, which means I haven't had a lot of time to get dressed up and be stylish for the blog. Hopefully I'll be back up and at it by tomorrow!

She Has Everything!
My big problem this year with Christmas shopping is that the last four women on my list have EVERYTHING. You can't buy them clothes, jewelry or shoes and their homes are furnished just perfectly. So,what do you buy them?
Well I've thought of 4 gifts for these 4 different ladies that have everything. Tell me what you think?
For My Little Cousin (A photog on the rise):
1.Digital Camera (maybe not the one pictured, but I'll find her one), at WalMart
For My Grandmother (Who makes us take a million pictures Christmas day)
2.Coby Digital Picture Frame, $28 at WalMart
For My Aunt ( Who says not to buy her anything, but who I know would kill me if I didn't)
3. Twilight Woods Candle, 2 for $20 at Bath and Body Works
For My Bestfriend (Who's quickly becoming a make-up junkie thanks to me)
4.Medium Sized Make-up Cases, $15 at Sephora
So, what do you think? Good ideas or no?
Fill me in!

I'm Every Woman
Victoria Beckham, or the artist formally known as Posh Spice, has surprised us all with a collection that targets the plus sized customer. Beckham says, "I love curvy women's bodies, and I want my clothes to have feeling."
But many wonder whether Beckham's idea of "curvy" is the Hollywood idea of the word or if it's true to life. Let's just hope the that she understands that curvy covers a wide range of women's body types.
Here are two of my favorite dresses from the Spring/Summer 2011 collection
Oprah wearing a dress from Beckham's 2010 collection
So, what are your thoughts about the collection? It's plus sized target? Let me know!

Passion Meets Fashion
As a musician and singer, I'm always trying to figure out what my image should be. I used to worry that being on stage meant that you had to offer the audience a look that was a fusion of fantasy and reality. Yet, that wasn't really me. Luckily, as I've gotten older, I've realized that what people really want is to see you being your genuine self in song, word and style.
I think my brother Brandon has this down perfectly. My producer, rapper, singer, and entrepreneur of a brother has perfected his personal style in real life and on stage. In fact, it's pretty much the same because he is what he wears. Subtle, sophisticated, smart, classic and fun. He's the kind of guy that can wear a suit to a football game and make it work. I love that about him!
So, here's a look at what he wore a few days ago. Check him out behind this beautiful baby grand piano!
He got this entire suit from the thrift store for just $5! I was totally impressed!
Well, later friends!

My Stylish Friend: Latrice
Last week Latrice's brother Juston was featured on our blog, so I guess it is safe to say that they come from a pretty stylish family. As soon as I saw her on Sunday I knew I wanted to put her on the blog. I mean come on, I'm a lover of all things pearl and lace. Not to mention it was all black! Yes, I'm one of those girls. :-)
Latrice is a young lady who has defined her style early and has no problem making a statement with her fashion choices. I love to see young ladies doing their thing in all areas of life!
She will definitely be featured on MSF again, so look out for her!

Made to Lose
So, I made a necklace a few weeks ago and I've been wanting to show it to you all. It's nothing spectacular, but hey I made it!
Well, Saturday I had so much to do that I just threw this outfit together, threw on a hat and as I was leaving I decided that my necklace would go great with it. It did!
Well as I was out taking pictures in the leaves I realized I had lost one of my favorite wooden earrings! I was crushed because how would I EVER find it in leaves? I didn't and so this post is bittersweet. I still have my little cool necklace, but my favorite earrings are no more. Was it worth it? Jury is still out.
Here is the necklace I made out of scap material. I really liked it because it looks like something home made. It's rough around the edges and I love it!
Here I am trying earnestly trying to find my earring to no avail!
Well friends, the moral of the story is...don't wear your favorite wooden earrings in the woods when you want to show the world your new favorite necklace. Pick one favorite thing! :-)

Wrapped Around My Finger
Every since I was a little girl I've loved rings. My grandmother used to buy me rings for every occasion. Birthdays, Christmas, Monday afternoons...if there was good reason I got a ring. I guess that's why I'm still addicted to them.
Although in the last few years I've become more of an earring fanatic, I'm starting to go back to my childhood days and want every ring I see. Here are a few rings that I've found online that I absolutely LOVE and would love to have wrapped around my finger.
Rings are described from left to right*
1. Top Shop, Solataire Stone Ring- $20
2. Jules Smith, Americana Classic Ring- $95
3. Banana Republic, Sugar Ring- $49.50
4. Banana Republic, Ginger Bow Ring- $25
5. Top Shop, Dome Encased Stone Ring- $28
6. Top Shop, Large Rose Quartz Ring- $28
7. Top Shop, Stand Up Gem Ring- $20
8. Top Shop, Pearl Rhinestone Cluster Ring- $28
9. The information for this ring is pending!
I have told everyone I know to buy me books, rings and make-up brushes for Christmas. Maybe I'll get to show off one these beauties to you all!

My Stylish Friend: Juston
It's always weird when you ask people "Can I take your picture for my blog?" Sometimes they look at you crazy and sometimes they laugh, ask what's a blog and then look at you crazy. ha ha. But Juston was extremely cool about it.
Juston and I have been going to church together for years, so I'd hope he didn't think I was a total creeper. Any-hoo, I digress.
I told you all about my fascination with lace up boots and these Ralph Lauren Polo Boots Juston was wearing yesterday are no exception. Therefore, once I noticed them I had to ask him the infamous question.
So, here's My Stylish Friend Juston!
What he's wearing:
Jacket- Members Only ( I love these)
Shirt- Polo by Ralph Lauren
Jeans- Levi
Boots- Polo by Ralph Lauren

Lasts Things First
Hello Friends!
(photosource)
Are any of you obsessed with jewlery, like I am?
Are any of you obsessed with jewlery, like I am?
Well, maybe it's just me, but I live for accessories! I will buy earrings and have absolutely nothing to wear them with. The same goes for shoes, bracelets, necklaces, hats, scarves, etc. In fact, I build most of my outfits from the accessories.
Now, I know most people see accessories as the added touches, the final finishes, but not me. In my humble opinion (and believe me it's very humble) asseccories are the core of great styling. For me, it's one of those "And the last shall be first" kind of things.
So, with all of that said, I wanted to show you some GREAT jewlery from one of my favorite bloggers Nikole Crowe of The Moptop Maven. As most great bloggers out there now, she has her own line of jewlery which can be found in her online boutique, Frank & Myrrh!
Here are some of my favorite pieces:
Kemet fringe earrings $24
Pangaea in Blue & Orche $35
Amina Warrior Breastplate Necklace $65
Gold Coast Bracelet $32
Pangaea in Pink & Light Green $35
Red Pheonix Drop Earrings $36
Nikole hand crafts all of her jewlery and uses high quality materials such as 14k gold, vermeil, antique brass and Swarovski crystals to ensure the longevity of the piece.
Find all these great pieces and more at The MopTopMaven's online boutique, Frank & Myrrh
